The City of Framingham accepted the provisions of Acts 1998 C. 166 whereby taxpayers may voluntarily check off, donate, and pledge an amount to aid in defraying real estate taxes of elderly and disabled persons of low income. The committee will consist of the chairman of the board of assessors, treasurer/collector, and three residents of Framingham. The committee shall adopt rules and regulations to carry out the provisions of this section and to identify the recipients of such aid.
