Framingham to Light Up the Sky: Stars & Stripes Over Framingham Returns Friday, June 27
FRAMINGHAM - The City of Framingham is thrilled to announce the return of its signature summer event, Stars & Stripes Over Framingham, on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 5 PM to 10 PM.
Now in its third year since being revived, this free community celebration is the perfect way to kick off the summer, offering an unforgettable evening of music, food, and a spectacular fireworks display over Farm Pond.
“This event is about bringing our community together,” said Mayor Charlie Sisitsky. “Stars & Stripes Over Framingham has become a cherished tradition, celebrating our city’s diversity, unity, and spirit. We can’t wait to welcome residents and visitors for an evening filled with joy and pride.”
Live Music & Entertainment
The festivities will begin at 5 PM with live performances by two exciting musical acts.
- Larry Bee and the Buzz will take the stage to perform classic rock hits from the '50s through the '70s, while
- The U.S. Navy Band Northeast will deliver a patriotic musical experience, featuring both the Ceremonial Band and the Jack Tar Brass Band.
Fireworks Display
The night will culminate in a breathtaking 20-minute fireworks show over Farm Pond. The display will be visible from various locations including Farm Pond Park, Cushing Memorial Park, and the Long Field Complex. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, bring lawn chairs or blankets, and claim the best viewing spots.
Parking & Accessibility
- Public Parking: Parking lots will open at 4:00 PM. Early arrivals may be turned away.
- Cushing Memorial Park: 2,500+ parking spaces available off Dr. Harvey Cushing Way. First-come, first-served.
- Keefe Technical High School: Free parking available, accessible via Fountain Street (not Winter Street).
- Additional Parking: Available at Dudley Road & Dr. Harvey Cushing Road (140 spaces) and Loring Arena.
- Parking Restrictions: No parking on Dr. Harvey Cushing Way, Fountain Street, and Winter Street. Vehicles parked on these roads may be towed. Additionally, parking on side streets off Winter Street is restricted to the odd-numbered side.
- Viewing Areas for Disabilities: Accessible spots will be available near the stage, tennis courts near Loring Arena, and Cushing Memorial Chapel. Please bring your own chairs.
- Road Closures: Dudley Road will be closed to all vehicles from 4:30 PM to midnight.

Safety & Prohibited Items
The Framingham Police, Fire, and Parks & Recreation Departments are coordinating the event, and the following items are prohibited for safety reasons:
- Weapons, backpacks, large bags, and coolers (soft-shell coolers subject to search)
- Alcohol, glass containers, and flammable items
- Large or bulky items, tents, and sporting equipment
- Drones, bicycles (pedal, electric, or motorized)
- Costumes or props that obstruct the face or body
Note: All large bags will be subject to search, and the event area is a No-Drone Zone. Please respect these guidelines to ensure everyone’s safety.
Food Trucks & Treats
A variety of food trucks approved by the Framingham Health Department will be available throughout the event.
