Framingham Drives Electric

Passenger cars responsible for approximately 28% of Framingham’s total greenhouse gas emissions and represent a major component of our journey to reach net zero emissions.

In addition to expanding public transit use and promoting walking and cycling, electric vehicles represent an important piece of the broader mobility puzzle—offering a cleaner alternative to fossil fuel-powered transportation and helping to reduce emissions and improve local air quality.

Framingham Drives Electric is a municipal initiative aimed at supporting residents and businesses to adopt electric vehicles (EVs) and expand access to EV charging stations.
