FIREWORKS AT FARM POND TO CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE DAY
The City of Framingham is proud to present the return of its signature summer celebration, Stars & Stripes Over Framingham, on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Now in its third year since its revival, this free community event brings together residents of all ages for an unforgettable evening of music, food, and a grand fireworks display over Farm Pond.
Live Music & Entertainment
Beginning at 5:00 PM, the event will feature live performances by two high-energy musical acts. Larry Bee and the Buzz will deliver timeless rock and roll classics from the '50s through the '70s, while the U.S. Navy Band Northeast will fill the night with patriotic marches and popular hits, performed by both the Ceremonial Band and the Jack Tar Brass Band.
Fireworks Display
The evening will culminate in a breathtaking 20-minute fireworks show over Farm Pond, visible from several locations including Farm Pond Park, Cushing Memorial Park, and the Long Field Complex. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and arrive early to secure their spots.
Parking & Accessibility
Parking
Public lots will open at 4 p.m. Do not arrive early, as you may be turned away.
There will be public parking at Cushing Memorial Park. The entrance to these 2,500-plus parking spaces will be off Dr. Harvey Cushing Way. Spaces are free and first come, first served.
There will also be parking at Keefe Technical High School. These spaces are free. The only entrance for that parking will be on Fountain Street.
Note: You cannot access Keefe or Cushing parking lots from Winter Street.
There is a parking lot at the intersection of Dudley Road and Dr. Harvey Cushing Road with approximately 140 spaces, plus there are additional spaces at Loring Arena.
All parking spaces are first-come, first-served.
Parking is prohibited on Dr. Harvey Cushing Way, Fountain Street, and Winter Street. Vehicles parked on those roads may be towed.
Parking on side streets off Winter Street is restricted to the odd-numbered side only. Vehicles parked on even-numbered sides that could impact emergency vehicles are subject to being towed. Framingham Police will be enforcing parking rules during this event.
Dudley Road will be closed to through traffic from Dr. Harvey Cushing Road to Fountain Street from 4:30 p.m. to midnight.
Accessibility
Near the stage, there are accessible viewing areas for those with disabilities, tennis/basketball courts near Loring Arena, and Cushing Memorial Chapel.
Please bring your own chairs.
See the maps in English, Spanish, & Portuguese for parking locations and how to access them.
The Framingham Police Department, Fire Department, and Parks and Recreation Department officially permit this event.
These permits give us control over the closed section of Dudley Road, the surrounding sidewalks, and the park areas.
The only vendors allowed within this permitted zone are approved food trucks receiving event permits.
