Team Framingham Selects 5 Organizations via Lottery

FRAMINGHAM – On Monday night, October 28, 2024, Team Framingham selected five charities in a lottery.

The organizations selected in the lottery were:

1. Leadership MetroWest

2. Call2Talk

3. Family Promise MetroWest

4. Framingham History Center

5. Bethany Hill Place

There were a record 19 charity applications this year.

Team Framingham was formed for the 2014 Boston Marathon to formalize the process for distributing the entries provided to the City of Framingham by the Boston Athletic Association (BAA), the organizers of the annual Boston Marathon.

A Mayor-appointed Steering Committee oversees the Team Framingham program.

The Steering Committee allocates invitational entries for the 2025 Boston Marathon, provided to Framingham through the Boston Athletic Association (BAA) Host Community Program via random selection (lottery).

The runners, who were also selected in a lottery on Monday night, October 28, will commit to a fundraising goal of $5,000 and a minimum obligation of $2,500 for 2025.

A runner who fails to reach the minimum fundraising obligation will not be eligible to participate in the lottery in the future.

More Information can be found on the Team Framingham page: https://framinghamma.gov/2205/Team-Framingham.

The 2025 Boston Marathon is on Monday, April 21.
