City Accepting Applications For Volunteers For South Middlesex Regional Vocational School Committee

 

 

FRAMINGHAM - The City of Framingham is currently accepting applications for two open seats on the South Middlesex Regional Vocational School Committee (Keefe Technical High School), each with a three-year term.

Applicants must be residents of Framingham and possess the ability to work collaboratively in group settings. While experience in education and training is highly preferred, individuals with a strong commitment to the community and a passion for supporting vocational education are encouraged to apply.

The School Committee plays a key role in shaping the educational programs and policies that help students thrive while also overseeing the efficient use of school resources. 

This Committee primarily works with Keefe Technical High School, collaborating with students, staff, and the public to ensure the long-term success of the school district. Meetings are held monthly on Mondays at 7 p.m.

The deadline to submit an application is Wednesday, July 9, at 11:59 p.m.

Applicants are required to submit a resume and a cover letter.

Incumbents are encouraged to apply, but re-appointment is not guaranteed.

The Mayor will review the applications submitted by the deadline, and then make nominations to the City Council. 

The City Council, as the legislative division of City Government, has 30 days to approve or reject the Mayor’s nominations.
