City of Framingham Seeking Volunteers
For Board of Health
FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham is seeking applicants to fill an opening on the 5-member Framingham Board of Health.
Earlier this year, Board of Health member James Divver died. His term was through June 30, 2025.
The mission of the Framingham Board of Health is to protect, promote, and preserve the health and well-being of all residents of the City of Framingham.
Under Massachusetts General Laws, state and local regulations, and community direction, the Board of Health is held responsible for disease prevention and control; health and environmental protection, and promoting a healthy community.
The Board of Health serves as the local extension of both the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection.
Applicants for the Board of Health seat MUST submit a cover letter and a resume.
The deadline to apply is Monday, March 31, at 11:59 p.m.

The Mayor will review the applications submitted by the deadline, and then make a nomination to the City Council for an individual to fill a seat through June 30, 2028.
The City Council, as the legislative division of City Government, has 30 days to approve or reject the Mayor’s nominations.
