Sidewalk Work on Dudley Road to Begin March 18

FRAMINGHAM - Starting Tuesday, March 18, 2025, Newport Construction will begin sidewalk improvements along Dudley Road, specifically between Franklin Street and Dr. Harvey Cushing Way.

The project is expected to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility along the corridor.

Key Project Details:

  • Hours of Operation: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Traffic Impact: 
    • Two-way traffic with a lane shift from Franklin Street to Mount Wayte Avenue.
    • Alternating traffic from Mount Wayte Avenue to Dr. Harvey Cushing Way.
    • Police officers will be onsite to manage traffic and ensure pedestrian safety during construction.

In addition, milling and paving of the road will take place during nighttime hours to minimize disruptions.

The project is anticipated to be completed by early May, according to the Department of Public Works Highway Director.
