Mayor Seeking Volunteer From Business Community For Strategic Initiatives & Financial Oversight Committee

 

 

FRAMINGHAM – City of Framingham Mayor Charlie Sisitsky is seeking volunteer from the local business community to serve on the Framingham Strategic Initiatives & Financial Oversight Committee (SIFOC). 

The 9-member Committee, appointed by the Mayor, the City Council, and the School Committee, is mandated by the City Charter. 

The Committee advises the Mayor, Council, and School Committee on the status of Framingham’s long-range strategic plan, the state of the municipal economy, sufficiency of municipal revenues, and “other financial matters that may from time to time be referred to it by the Mayor, Council or School Committee.” 

Mayor Sisitsky has three appointees to the Committee.  The Mayor is seeking to fill the business community seat. The term ends June 30, 2027.

 The deadline to apply is Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.

 Women and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Applicants who apply by the deadline will get preference. 

The Mayor’s nominee does not have to be reviewed by the City Council.
