FRAMINGHAM  - The Framingham Department of Public Works (DPW) Highway Division announced a DPW tree crew will be removing a hazardous tree located at 249 Edmands Road on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

To safely complete this work, Edmands Road will be closed to all traffic between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.

A detour will be in place, and police details will be on-site to assist with traffic control.

Emergency vehicles and residents will continue to have access to 229 Edmands Road from the east side of the detour and to 249 Edmands Road from the west side of the detour.

The roadway will reopen as soon as the tree removal and cleanup operations are complete.

Residents are asked to plan accordingly, and the City appreciates the public’s patience as this necessary safety work is completed.
