Framingham Firefighters Extinguish Second-Alarm Fire At Irving Street Apartment Building


FRAMINGHAM - Framingham firefighters extinguished a second-alarm fire at 75 Irving Street on Sunday evening, December 21, 2025.

The fire originated in a first-floor laundry room of the multi-level apartment building.

The fire was held in check by an activated sprinkler head prior to firefighters’ arrival. Firefighters were alerted through the building’s box alarm system just after 7:30 p.m.

Firefighters completed extinguishment operations and were able to limit damage to the laundry room area, said Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher.

One resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center for treatment of smoke inhalation, said the Framingham Fire Chief.

No one was displaced, said Chief Dutcher.

No firefighters were injured, said Chief Dutcher.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
