City of Framingham Municipal Election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025
FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham’s Municipal Election will take place on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Please note: The City Clerk’s Office will be closed on Election Day to allow staff to administer the election.
What’s on the Ballot
Voters will decide several local offices and one ballot question, including:
- Mayor – The incumbent has a challenger.
- District City Councilors (1 per district) – Contested races in Districts 2, 3, 4, and 8.
- School Committee (1 per district) – District 2 & 6 both have multiple candidates on the ballot.
- Library Trustees (6 seats) – Six candidates for six seats.
- Cemetery Trustees (3 seats) – Three candidates for three seats.
- Charter Amendment Question – A citywide Yes/No question.
Of the 28 positions on the ballot, seven races are contested.

As part of the City Charter adopted in 2017, Framingham conducted a required five-year review in 2023. The Charter Review Committee gathered community input, analyzed potential updates, and submitted recommendations to the City Council. The Council approved sending the proposed amendments to voters.
A Yes/No question about these proposed amendments will appear on the back of all ballots.
