The deadline to apply is October 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
The purpose of the Human Relations Commission is to address the causes of intergroup disunity that contribute to social and urban challenges. The Commission works to:

Commission members serve three-year terms and are expected to:
- Attend monthly meetings and actively participate in Commission work.
- Stay informed about community needs and bring those issues to the Commission’s attention.
- Conduct research on assigned topics.
- Help plan and host community forums, seminars, and educational events.
The Human Relations Commission meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. (except July).
The Commission currently consists of nine members, following a City Council vote in January 2023 to reduce its size from 13. Members come from a variety of backgrounds and represent different perspectives within the community.
