DPW: Road Work on Edgell Road This Week

FRAMINGHAM - The City of Framingham Department of Public Works Highway Division announced today, September 29, 2025, that a subcontractor will conduct roadway work on Edgell Road from Central Street to Water Street starting Tuesday, September 30 through Thursday, October 2.

Crews from Newport Construction will be on site between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day performing casting adjustments to manholes and water gates along the recently paved roadway.

Alternating traffic patterns will be in place during the work period, and motorists should anticipate delays and seek alternate routes when possible.

This work is necessary to bring more than three dozen manholes and water gates up to grade following the recent paving project. Crews will make every effort to minimize disruption and clear the roadway as early as possible each day.

The City appreciates residents’ patience and cooperation while this important roadway maintenance is completed.
