Water and Sewer Work on Second Street This Week
FRAMINGHAM - The City of Framingham’s Department of Public Works announced the water and sewer work on Second Street is scheduled to be completed this week.
Final paving operations will take place over the next several days, and motorists should be aware of traffic impacts in the area.
Work Schedule:
- Monday: Crews will conduct milling and paving at the intersection of Beaver Street and Second Street. Beaver Street will be reduced to one lane with alternating traffic throughout the day.
- Tuesday: Trench paving will begin on Second Street starting from the Waverly Street end. A detour using Tarelli Terrace will be in place one final time during this work. Once paving is complete on that section, crews will continue paving the dead-end portion of Second Street off Beaver Street.
- Wednesday: Final trench paving will be completed on the dead-end section of Second Street, marking the conclusion of work for this construction season.
It is important to note that this does not mark the end of the overall Second Street project. Additional work is planned to continue in spring 2026 as part of the City’s ongoing infrastructure improvements in the area.
The City appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation throughout this project. These upgrades will help ensure continued reliability and service in Framingham’s water and sewer systems.
