Framingham Public Works Announces Detour For Second Street Water & Sewer Project

FRAMINGHAM - The City of Framingham is providing an update on the ongoing utility work on Second Street.

Beginning Monday, August 25, 2025, and continuing throughout next week, crews will be installing new water and sewer mains between the Beaver Dam Brook Bridge and Waverly Street. All work will take place during the day, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Due to the narrow width of the road, it is not possible to safely permit traffic through the construction zone. The same detour pattern will remain in place, directing vehicles via Taralli Terrace to Second Street.

Emergency vehicles requiring access to properties west of the Beaver Dam Brook Bridge, including 14 Second Street and higher, should use Taralli Terrace for entry.

For any questions or concerns regarding the project, please contact: Framingham Department of Public Works
