City Advertising Openings on Women, Children & Families Commission
FRAMINGHAM –The City of Framingham is seeking applicants for the 11-member Women, Children, and Families Commission.
The mission of the Women, Children, and Families Commission focuses on empowering women and families in the city of Framingham.
Primary duties of the Commission include advising the Mayor and city agencies on issues impacting women and families, advocating for female and black, indigenous, and people of color (“BIPOC”) owned businesses, and organizing events educating and advocating for change.
There are 6 volunteer seats available, all of which have three-year term lengths or until the member no longer serves in the position that resulted in their selection.
The Women, Children, and Families Commission consists of 11 members community members, one from each district and two members representing the business or non-profit communities.
Seats are available for the two business and non-profit member positions, as well as representative seats from Districts 1, 5, 6, and 7.
Current Commission members are encouraged to re-apply but are not guaranteed re-appointment.
The deadline to apply is Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

The Mayor will review the applications submitted by the deadline, and then make nominations to the City Council.
No resume or cover letter is required to apply for this position.
The City Council, as the legislative division of City Government, has 30 days to approve or reject the Mayor’s nominations.
