Framingham DPW Announces Second Street Water Main Project Starts March 31
FRAMINGHAM - The City of Framingham Division of Public Works announced the Second Street water main replacement project will resume on Monday, March 31.
The City’s utility contractor, Russo Bros, will continue work between Taralli Terrace and Waverly Street as part of Phase 2 of the ongoing project.
This phase of the project is expected to last 10-12 weeks.
During this time, the following updates and changes will take place:
- No Parking: Temporary "No Parking" signs will be posted along the project area on Second Street, with restrictions in effect Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Traffic Detours: Traffic will be redirected as follows:
- Between Taralli Terrace and the eastern entrance to Beaver Terrace Circle, traffic will be detoured around Beaver Terrace Circle.
- Between the eastern entrance to Beaver Terrace Circle and Beaver Park Road, traffic will be detoured from Taralli Terrace to Beaver Park Road.
- Between Beaver Park Road and Waverly Street, traffic will be detoured from Beaver Park Road to Taralli Terrace to Waverly Street.
- Access to Interfaith Terrace: At least one entrance to Interfaith Terrace will remain open at all times.
Additionally, temporary bypass piping will be installed along the side of the road, and temporary fire hydrants will be placed at either the same location as existing hydrants or directly across the street.
Notices regarding the work have been distributed to abutters in three languages.
