City of Framingham & Downtown Framingham Inc. Co-Hosting Inaugural Framingham Business Trade Show Saturday

FRAMINGHAM - The City of Framingham, in collaboration with Downtown Framingham Inc. and local businesses, is excited to announce the first-ever Framingham Business Trade Show on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from noon to 4 p.m.

The event will take place at the Downtown Common (2 Park Street) and Union Avenue, which will be closed to traffic from Concord to Proctor Streets for the duration of the event.

Parking will be available at several lots in the downtown area for FREE for all visitors, in several lots but parking at the Memorial Building will be restricted for vendor drop off and loading only.

Union Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. from Proctor Street to Concord Street. Vehicles will be detoured. Only pedestrians will have access. Vehicles parked on Union Avenue in that area are subjected to towing, at the owner’s expense, as of 9 a.m.

This event is an opportunity to come together as a community to discover local businesses and their unique products and services. Guests will enjoy delicious local food, live performances including Capoeira, Jiu-Jitsu, and live music. 

Additionally, a fashion show will take place in front of the Memorial Building at 3 p.m. showcasing the creativity of local stores.

Event Highlights Include:

  • Fashion show at 3 p.m. in front of the Memorial Building

The Framingham Business Trade Show is an initiative spearheaded by local business owners and organized by Downtown Framingham Inc., in collaboration with the City of Framingham. 

Key organizers include AD2 Signs, Inc., Faros Restaurant, Viva’s Flower Shop, Urbano’s Furniture, FressCafe, and Padaria Brasil. Their dedication and teamwork have made this exciting event possible.

Come downtown and experience the best that Framingham's local business community has to offer.

Also on Saturday, September 7, the main Framingham Public Library will host the 2nd Annual Spooktastic Book Fair from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

This event showcases more than 40 authors specializing in children's, young adult, and adult horror genres from across America. This FREE event, running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., includes author workshops, lectures, a book sale, and an outdoor beer garden set up in the Library’s learning yard.
