Framingham Women, Children, & Families Commission Launches Survey To Evaluate Community Needs
FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Women, Children, and Families Commission, which began meeting formally in August 2023, is surveying residents about the needs and priorities of its constituents in a newly-released survey.
In its inaugural year, the Commission has been evaluating where to focus its attention and how to best leverage resources to benefit those it represents.
“This Commission has a unique opportunity to create pathways for success for women, children, and families in Framingham. We also have a tremendous responsibility to do right by our constituents in setting an agenda for our work,” said Commission Chair Carolyn Assa. “We believe the best way to do that is to survey residents prior to finalizing our priorities so that our focus is allocated on the most pressing matters impacting our constituents and their families.”
The Commission’s mission is to empower women and families in Framingham by advocating for their needs.
The survey asks respondents to weigh in on evaluating the most pressing concerns to help the Commission develop its strategic direction.
Surveys are anonymous; All residents are encouraged to participate.

“We want every woman in Framingham to feel she has a voice, and that her voice is being heard. It's crucial that every woman, regardless of background or circumstance, has access to the resources they need for themselves, their families, and children. We hope that every woman in the city will feel empowered to share her thoughts in this survey so that we can represent her concerns in the recommendations we make to the Mayor and the City Council," said Commission Vice Chair Cynthia MacLean.
The survey will close on Thursday, June 20 at 11:59 p.m.
