Neighborhood Meetings for Community Gardens Postponed To Saturday, March 30

FRAMINGHAM – Due to inclement weather, the Neighborhood Meetings for Framingham Community Gardens Designs have been postponed until Saturday, March 30.

We hope you can join Transition Framingham and City of Framingham departments to share your input into designs for potential community gardens at two south Framingham neighborhood parks!

If dry weather is expected on Saturday, March 30, meetings will take place outdoors at the following times and locations:

If wet weather is expected on Saturday, March 30, both meetings will be held indoors at Loring Arena (165 Fountain Street) in the Community Room at the same times – 1 p.m. for Roosevelt Park, and 3:30 p.m. for Bates Road Park.

Additional details:

  • Purpose: Facilitated by our design consultant RDLA, the March 30th meetings will provide an opportunity for the public to learn more about this project, hear about the unique opportunities at each park location, and discuss ideas for possible garden features. Most importantly, attendees will have a chance to be involved in the design process by offering ideas and suggestions for how a portion of each of these parks might be used for community gardening.

  • Interpreters will be available on site for those who would like to participate in Spanish, Portuguese, or ASL.

  • Meeting Registration: Advance registration for the March 30th meetings is encouraged but not required. Please tell us which meeting(s) you plan to attend, how many people will be attending with you, and whether you are requesting interpretive services by filling out this Meeting Registration Form.

  • If You are Unable to Attend on March 30: We still want to hear from you! Video recordings will be made available after the event, along with a form where you can submit your comments, ideas, and suggestions. To be notified when meeting videos are available online, as well as to hear about future opportunities to provide your input, please Sign Up for our Email List

  • Thank You: This project received funding assistance from the residents of Framingham through the Framingham Community Preservation Act Fund.
