Framingham Firefighters Extinguish School Buses Fire

FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Fire Department was notified of a fire involving a bus at the Framingham bus yard, at 186 Fountain Street, just after 1 a.m.

Upon arrival, fire crews found one school bus fully involved, with fire extending to three additional buses parked nearby, said Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher.

Firefighters acted quickly to bring the fire under control and prevent further extension to surrounding vehicles and property, said the Framingham Fire Chief.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, said Chief Dutcher.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Framingham Fire Department in coordination with the Massachusetts State Fire Marshal’s Office. At this time, the fire does not appear to be suspicious, said the Framingham Fire Chief.

The school buses are used by the Framingham Public School district.
