FRAMINGHAM - Framingham Public Schools and the City of Framingham’s Parks & Recreation Department are pleased to announce the return of the Framingham Blazers Band, a community band dedicated to celebrating local talent, fostering connection, and building a lasting musical tradition in Framingham.

Open to musicians of all skill levels, the Framingham Blazers Band welcomes players of all concert and marching instruments who are eager to make music, meet fellow musicians, and contribute to Framingham’s vibrant arts community. Rehearsals will be held locally in Framingham, ensuring participation is accessible and community-focused.

The Framingham Blazers Band was originally founded in the 1960s under the direction of Paul Bordeleau, in partnership with the City of Framingham’s Parks & Recreation Department. The concert band was created to give Framingham students an opportunity to continue playing their instruments together during the summer months, and it has remained a meaningful part of the city’s musical history.

Musicians interested in joining the Framingham Blazers Band are encouraged to complete the interest form at this link - https://www.framinghamma.gov/FormCenter/Boards-Committees-Commissions-39/Framingham-Blazers-Band-Interest-Form-196
