Framingham Voters Re-Elect Mayor Sisistky; Approve Charter Changes; Turnout at 23%
Framingham Mayor Charlie Sisitsky won reelection in the 2025 municipal election, defeating challenger Geoffrey Epstein, 5,358–4,146, according to unofficial results released by the City Clerk. There were 73 write-in votes for Mayor and 111 blank votes.
Voters also overwhelmingly approved a ballot question proposing updates to the City Charter by a margin of 7,138–2,051. The changes include limiting mayors to three four-year terms, prohibiting elected officials from serving in another elected capacity simultaneously, and establishing a new officer focused on climate and sustainability.
Approximately 23% of Framingham’s 42,090 registered voters cast ballots in this election, with 9,664 voters participating. Turnout decreased from more than 30% recorded during the last municipal election four years ago.
Two women received the highest number of votes across all races:
• Julie Ferrari led all Cemetery Trustee candidates with 6,703 votes.
• Isabella Petroni topped the Library Trustee ballot with 6,536 votes.
