DPW Announces Autumn Brush & Leaf Curbside Collection

.

FRAMINGHAM - The City of Framingham’s Department of Public Works, Sanitation Division, will conduct its annual fall curbside collection of yard waste and brush beginning next week.

All collections will take place on residents’ regular trash collection days only during the designated collection weeks.

A separate vehicle will be dispatched to collect yard waste and brush.

“These seasonal collections give residents an easy and convenient way to manage yard waste responsibly,” said Sanitation Director Darren Guertin. “Proper disposal helps keep our neighborhoods clean, supports the City’s composting program, and ensures that organic materials are reused sustainably.”

Fall 2025 Curbside Collection Schedule

Curbside Brush Collection:

• Week of October 20, 2025

• Week of December 8, 2025

Brush should be neatly stacked and tied in bundles no longer than four feet in length and set at the curb by 7 a.m. on your regular trash day.

Curbside Leaf Collection:

Leaf collection will begin the week of October 27, 2025 and will take place each week throughout November 2025 on residents’ regular trash collection days. Leaves must be placed in biodegradable paper bags or open barrels and set at the curb by 7 a.m.

Please Note: Brush will not be collected during leaf collection weeks, and yard waste will not be collected during brush collection weeks.
