Rain Postpones Edgell Road Paving to September 26 & 29

FRAMINGHAM - The City of Framingham Department of Public Works announces that All State Construction will be paving a portion of Edgell Road beginning just past Central Street and extending to Nobscot.

Due to the forecasted rain, the project has been postponed to September 26 & 29.

The project will be completed in four phases to minimize traffic disruptions. Hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

The road will remain open for emergency vehicles, school buses, and residents living within the affected area.

Detours will be in place. There are 4 phases.

Electronic message boards have been placed in advance to notify drivers and encourage use of alternate routes.

Notices have also been distributed to Edgell Road residents.

Once paving is complete, Newport Construction will conduct casting adjustments along Edgell Road. This work will require alternating traffic until the project is finished.

The City of Framingham thanks residents and drivers for their patience and cooperation as this important road improvement project is completed.
