DPW: Mount Wayte Avenue Final Paving Scheduled for Tuesday, September 9

 

FRAMINGHAM -The City of Framingham’s Department of Public Works, Highway Division, announces that Newport Construction will perform the final paving of Mount Wayte Avenue on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The road will remain open to businesses, buses, and emergency vehicles. A detour will be in place for all other traffic.

Detour Description:

Traffic traveling eastbound on Mount Wayte Avenue will be directed to turn right onto Franklin Street.

Vehicles will continue along Franklin Street until reaching Linden Street.

Drivers will turn left onto Linden Street and follow it to Union Avenue.

At Union Avenue, traffic will turn left and proceed northbound.

The detour will reconnect with Mount Wayte Avenue via Maple Street.

Police details will be stationed along the route to assist with traffic flow.

We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as we complete this important roadway improvement project.
