September 11th Remembrance Ceremony

FRAMINGHAM - The City of Framingham will host a remembrance ceremony to honor the lives lost in the tragic events of September 11, 2001, including the seventeen individuals with ties to Framingham.

The program will include solemn remarks from City officials, a reading of the names inscribed on the memorial, prayer offerings, and the Presentation of Colors by the Framingham Fire and Police Department Honor Guards.

The outdoor ceremony will take place at the September 11th Living Memorial, located within Cushing Memorial Park on Dudley Road, on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. This is a rain-or-shine event. In the event of severe weather, the ceremony will move to the Cushing Memorial Chapel.

“All these years later, September 11th continues to weigh heavily on our community and our nation,” said Mayor Charlie Sisitsky. “We gather not only to remember the lives that were tragically lost, including the seventeen with ties to Framingham, but also to reaffirm our shared commitment to unity, resilience, and hope.”

All are invited to attend this solemn remembrance.
