City Accepting Applications For Volunteers For The Framingham Disability Commission
FRAMINGHAM - The City of Framingham is seeking applicants for the 7-member Framingham Disability Commission.
The Disability Commission works alongside the Mayor, the ADA Coordinator, and the Access Compliance inspector as well as other city officials to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in all aspects of community life. The Commission also assists the City with the implementation and upkeep of the Transition Plan to ensure the city meets the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
There are two openings for terms through June 30, 2028.
Applicants must either have a disability, be an immediate family member of a person with a disability or an elected/appointed official. Each member offers unique insights and skills regarding their experience of living with a disability.
Current members are welcome to reapply but are not guaranteed re-appointment.
The deadline to apply is Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.

The Mayor will review all applications submitted by the deadline and make nominations to the City Council. No resume or cover letter is required to apply for this position.
The City Council, as the legislative branch of City Government, has 30 days to approve or reject the Mayor’s nominations.
