City Council Advertising For Applicants For Community Preservation Committee

 

FRAMINGHAM - The City of Framingham is advertising to fill a 3-year seat on the Framingham Community Preservation Committee, as an at-large member.

Created following Framingham’s adoption of the state Community Preservation Act in 2020, the Committee administers a local surcharge fund matched by the state to support projects in historic preservation, community housing, open space, and outdoor recreation. The Committee evaluates community needs, reviews applications, and submits annual funding recommendations to the City Council.

Applicants must be Framingham residents and demonstrate expertise or interest in areas such as land use, affordable housing, historic preservation, parks and open space, recreation, planning, or municipal finance. Experience in municipal finance or accounting is desirable but not required.

A resume and cover letter are required to apply for this position. 

An individual serving as an at-large CPC member may not hold any other municipal position or serve as a municipal officer while serving on the Committee. 

Current members may re-apply for re-appointment.

The deadline to apply is Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
