Multiple Volunteers Needed For the Framingham Community Development Committee
FRAMINGHAM - The City of Framingham is advertising for multiple volunteers for the 9-member Community Development Committee.
Current Committee members are encouraged to re-apply but are not guaranteed re-appointment.
The Community Development Committee works in cooperation with the Community and Planning Department to work to complete the following:
- Hold public hearings to obtain the views of citizens on community development and housing needs.
- Provide citizens with adequate opportunities to participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Community Development Program, including CDBG.
- Recommends to the City Council and Mayor an annual Community Development Plan consisting of a statement of Community Development objectives and projected use of funds.
There is a 1-year seat through June 30, 2026
There are 2 seats through June 30, 2027.
There are 3 seats through June 30, 2028.
The deadline to apply is July 20, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

The Mayor will review the applications submitted by the deadline, and then make nominations to the City Council.
The City Council, as the legislative division of City Government, has 30 days to approve or reject the Mayor’s nominations.
