6 Injured in Early Morning Concord Street Fire
FRAMINGHAM - At approximately 12:25 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, the Framingham Fire Department responded to a working fire at 363 Concord Street. Units dispatched included Engine 5, Engine 3, Engine 1, Rescue 1, Ladder 3, and Command 2.
Upon arrival, Command 2 observed heavy fire coming from the second floor of the residence and reported multiple injuries. Fire crews initiated an aggressive interior attack and were able to contain the fire to the second floor of the structure.
Six individuals were transported to area hospitals for treatment. One of the victims is currently listed in critical condition.
Three were transported to MetroWest Medical Center and three were transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Four have already been treated and released, said Fire Chief Michael Dutcher.
A total of seven residents have been displaced. No injuries were reported among firefighters.
Damage is estimated at approximately $75,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
“I am proud of the outstanding work by Group 4, Brewster Ambulance, and our mutual aid partners who covered Framingham stations during the response,” said Fire Chief Dutcher.
