Framingham to Host Shred Fest 2025: A Community Document Shredding and Donation Event

FRAMINGHAM - The City of Framingham invites residents to participate in Shred Fest 2025, a secure document shredding and community donation event, taking place on Saturday, May 10, 2025.

Framingham Public Works division will host the event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m at the Recycling Drop-Off Center, 255 Mount Wayte Avenue.

This annual event provides residents with the opportunity to safely dispose of personal documents, helping to prevent identity theft and promote environmentally responsible recycling.

Shred Fest is open to Framingham residents with a valid Recycling Center permit.

Residents without a permit are welcome to participate by bringing a donation of non-perishable food items or gently used clothing. All donations will support local charitable organizations serving those in need.

“Shred Fest is more than just document disposal,” said Mayor Charlie Sisitsky. “It’s a chance for our community to come together to protect personal information, reduce clutter, and give back to others — all at the same time.”

For additional information, residents may call Framingham Department of Public Works at 508-532-6001.

Or residents may email the City’s information line at 411@FraminghamMA.gov
