Framingham Announces Public Hearing and Comment Period for 5-Year Community Development Block Grant Plan and FY2026 Action Plan


FRAMINGHAM - The City of Framingham’s Community Development Department invites residents, community organizations, and stakeholders to participate in a Public Hearing regarding the draft FY2026-2030 Five-Year Consolidated Plan and FY2026 Annual Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The hearing will take place on:

Purpose of the Hearing

The hearing aims to present the City’s draft plans to the public, initiate a 30-day public comment period from March 26, 2025, to April 24, 2025, and gather feedback from residents, local agencies, and community partners. The plans will guide the City’s use of anticipated $495,542 in CDBG funding for community development initiatives from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2030 (Five-Year Plan) and July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026 (Annual Action Plan). Public input will help shape the final plans before submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Document Availability & Public Comment Submission

The draft FY2026-2030 Consolidated Plan and FY2026 Annual Action Plan will be available for review starting March 26, 2025, online at www.framinghamma.gov/418/community-development and in person at the Community Development Department (Room 121, 150 Concord St, Framingham, MA 01702)

Written comments may be submitted to the Community Development Office until April 24, 2025. All feedback will be considered in finalizing the plans for submission to HUD.
