City of Framingham Declares Snow Emergency Parking Ban

FRAMINGHAM – Forecasters are calling for about a half foot of snow this weekend.

Framingham Department of Public Works snow and ice preparations are already underway.

The National Weather Service Boson/Norton is calling for a half foot of snow for City of Framingham and the MetroWest region.

Mayor Charlie Sisitsky has issued a snow emergency parking band for tonight, February 8, starting at 11 pm. And ending at 11 a.m. on Sunday, February 9.

The City of Framingham’s snow emergency parking ban impacts all arterial roads beginning at 11 p.m. tonight. Arterial roads are designated with posted red and white signs. For a list of arterial roads, click here.

This parking ban is in addition to the citywide year-round odd/even parking restriction on all streets. As 2025, is an odd year, parking is prohibited on the even-side of roads.

Residents are encouraged to seek off-street parking and not interfere with snow clearing operations. Any vehicle obstructing snow clearing operations is subject to towing.

If you lose electricity during the storm, do not call 9-1-1.

Please contact Eversource at 1-800-592-2000.

City plows must first clear all of the main roads, before they begin the residential streets. The City of Framingham does not plow private roads.

After the roads are completed, the City of Framingham will use the sidewalk plows for some streets, not all in the City.

If there is a medical emergency during the storm, please call 9-1-1.

If it’s not an emergency, please be patient, your street will be plowed as quickly as possible.
