Framingham Mayor Sisitsky Names Pratt Interim CFO
FRAMINGHAM – City of Framingham Mayor Charlie Sisitsky has named Assistant Chief Financial Officer Jennifer Pratt as interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Ms. Pratt has been with the City of Framingham for more than two decades. She has served as the assistant CFO since April 2006.
“I have the utmost confidence in Ms. Pratt. She has worked for the municipality for 22 years, and this will be her second time as interim CFO,” said Mayor Sisitsky. “Ms. Pratt is more than capable to oversee the financial functions of the City, including developing and implementing the operating and current expense budgets. I know she will deliver outcomes that will have a meaningful impact on the municipal finances, while remaining accountable to our taxpayers."

I will be driven by the same commitment I have had to the City for more than two decades,” said Interim CFO Pratt. “The Finance Division plays a pivotal role in supporting the entire city, with a team of highly skilled individuals. It's a privilege to lead such a dedicated and talented team.
In her role as Interim CFO, Ms. Pratt will direct and manage all activities including highly complex technical activities of the Administration and Finance Division composed of Accounting, Assessing, Purchasing, Technology Services, and Treasurer/Collector.
Ms. Pratt is a certified Massachusetts Public Purchasing Officer since 2013. She holds a Municipal Financial Management Certificate and a Local Government Leadership and Management Certificate from Suffolk University’s Moakley Center for Public Management.
She is a member of the New England States Government Finance Officers Association and the Massachusetts Association of Public Purchasing Officials, and the Massachusetts Municipal Accountants & Auditors.
Ms. Pratt possesses the requisite experience and expertise in Framingham's financial matters, qualifying her to assume control over the city's finances without delay,” said Chief Operating Officer Michael Tusino. “And she can run Munis reports.”
"Our city's financial status remains solid. Currently, Ms. Pratt is collaborating with me and the COO to review the capital projects budget, while simultaneously commencing the preparations for the Fiscal Year 2025 budget,” said Mayor Sisitsky.
The City of Framingham is currently advertising for a Chief Financial Officer/Director of Administration and Finance, after the resignation of Louise Miller in December 2023.
The CFO directs all of the administration and financial planning and accounting practices for the City of Framingham. This role formulates all financial policies, plans, and procedures for the City to ensure accuracy, accountability, and efficiency of all municipal and departmental finances. This role ensures quality standards and is responsible for maintaining and improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under his/her direction and control.
