The Parks and Recreation Department is excited, as you are, to open the athletic fields this spring. We are all eager to get back outdoors and start competing after a long winter and pandemic. March 12, 2021 Update - Framingham Begins Re-opening Basketball and Tennis Courts
The City is in the process of re-opening public courts by reinstalling the basketball rims and putting up the tennis nets throughout the park system. Some courts are still covered in snow, and we ask that people not clear them and let the warmer weather melt them this weekend. The basketball courts at Mary Dennison Park on Beaver Street, Bowditch Field Athletic Complex on Union Ave., Butterworth Park on Bishop Street, and the Bates Road ½ court are ready for play. The park's crew will continue to perform its annual spring maintenance while opening additional courts. All visitors are asked to follow all COVID-19 guidelines to keep everyone safe. The lists of open courts below will be updated as more courts open.
