Built in 1974 as one of three new Middle Schools for the town, the others being Farley and Cameron. Named in honor of Framingham Fire Department Lieutenant Paul F. Barbieri. The Barbieri fields are located at 100 Dudley Road, in between the Long's Complex, Farm Pond, and Cushing Memorial Park.

NOTICE: During school hours when Framingham Public Schools are in session, access to school buildings and grounds is limited to district students, staff, City departments, and individuals conducting official school business.
The Parks & Recreation Department manages and issues permits for school athletic fields during non-school hours, beginning Monday–Friday after 5:00 pm, as well as all day on weekends.
All athletic field use requests must be submitted through the Parks & Recreation Department.
