If the property owner or the City of Framingham suspects that a meter is registering improperly, it can be tested by the City of Framingham. The owner is responsible for the testing fee when requesting a meter test. All meter tests are performed according to the accuracy standards of the American Water Works Association.
If tests show a meter is inaccurate, the meter test fee will be refunded, and the account will be adjusted appropriately.
