Streetlight Management Program

Street lights are a critical component of Framingham's infrastructure and provide vehicular traffic and pedestrians with safer roadway conditions. The Lighting and Signals Division is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the City’s standard and decorative street lights. The City has over 5,170 street lights, which were updated with new LED bulbs in 2015.

Street Light Issues

For any street light related issues, such as outages or damage, please call 508-532-6008 or email us.

When you call, it is helpful to have as much information as possible including:

  • Contact Information (please provide your name and phone number)
  • Location
  • Pole Number
  • Type of Issue (i.e. is the light completely out or flickering on and off?)

The amount of time to repair or replace a streetlight can vary depending on the type of issue. Issues may be prioritized based on the street light outage’s effect on public safety.
