Crews To Begin Water Main Replacement on Mt Wayte Avenue
FRAMINGHAM –Starting tonight, November 5, crews will begin a water main replacement on Mt Wayte Avenue between Union Avenue and Franklin Street. Crews will also work on a 200-foot stretch onto Stevens Road.
Work is scheduled from Sunday to Thursday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The road will be closed to through traffic but open to emergency vehicles.
A detour will be in place Franklin Street to Maple Street to Union Avenue.
The night work is expected to last one week and the work will transition to days.
Work then will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
The daytime work will have one lane open for through traffic heading east and the same detour set up for the westbound traffic.
Stevens Road will have to be accessed from Day Hill Rd when work is being performed on Stevens Road. That work is expected to last approximately two weeks.
Police details will be on site to facilitate traffic. Residents of Stevens Road, The Casa de Romana nursing facility, and Perini have all been notified.
