*COVID-19 UPDATE*
Since Wednesday, 47 Residents have Tested Positive, and 27 More have Recovered from COVID-19; 
Patriots’ Day is Monday, April 19, and Spring Break Begins for Students, Allowing Many Residents a Well-needed Break, but there will be no Rest for COVID-19; Continue to Protect Yourself and Others
City Hall & other Non-Essential Municipal Buildings Closed Monday for Patriots’ Day;
State’s Project Beacon Testing Sites in Framingham Open for COVID-19 Testing on Patriots’ Day;
Next COVID-19 Release to be Issued Monday

  • Since Wednesday, 47 residents have tested positive, and 27 more have recovered from COVID-19: The number of people in the City who have tested positive for COVID-19 is 7,955. With 6,189 recovered and 242 fatalities, Framingham currently has 1,524 active cases. The Framingham Health Department contacts the people who were potentially exposed and the owners of the businesses or places of employment where the potential exposures occurred to inform and counsel them on next steps (contact tracing). In addition to the active cases, the Health Department is following 715 residents in quarantine. 

  • Patriots’ Day is Monday, April 19, and Spring Break begins for students; allowing many residents a well-needed break, but there will be no rest for COVID-19: Continue to protect yourself and others from the virus. Please keep your celebrations small and with those in your household, wear face coverings, practice social distancing, avoid crowds, wash your hands in warm water for 20 seconds, and disinfect high-touch surfaces to slow the spread of the virus. To control the community spread of COVID-19, people must follow isolation and quarantine orders. At this time, all Framingham residents ages 0 - 18 who are identified as a close contact will be quarantined for ten days.
