Public Lands Day
Saturday, September 23, 2023
Join the City of Framingham Conservation Department and the Framingham Public Lands store as they host a National Public Lands Day event! The fourth Saturday in September is National Public Lands Day, the largest single-day volunteer event dedicated to public lands! Join us in celebrating the day by volunteering to improve the Cochituate Brook Reservation here in Framingham. We will be making trail improvements, removing invasive plants, and picking up trash. In addition to volunteering there will be food trucks, games and giveaways. The first 50 registered volunteers will also receive a free t-shirt!
Volunteers are asked to pre-register at https://www.publiclands.com/s/framingham-classes-and-events#id=let-s-woth-together-national-public-lands-day-volunteer and bring sturdy, closed toe shoes, work gloves, sunscreen, bug spray, long pants, and a water bottle. The event will occur on Saturday, September 23 from 9:00am – 1:00pm. Parking is available at 500 Old Conn Path. There is no rain date scheduled for this event and will be held rain or shine.
