About the MYIP Program:

The Mayor’s Youth Internship Program (MYIP) aims to establish meaningful summer employment by providing opportunities for underrepresented youth to earn an hourly paycheck, explore careers in public, private, and nonprofit sectors, and learn new skills in real world settings.

The MYIP is a collaboration between the City of Framingham and Masshire Metro South/West Workforce Board’s YouthWorks Program, funded by the Commonwealth. The program provides access to resources and opportunities to eligible youth aged 14-21. The mission of the program is to support development of marketable skills needed in a competitive economy and foster the future workforce in Framingham.

In addition to pre-employment training and professional development, participants engage with City government to develop civic leadership skills.
