    Framingham, MA—The United Way of Tri-County would like to announce that nominations are now being accepted for the 2018 ATHENA Leadership Award®. The ATHENA Awards recognizes a prominent leader in the MetroWest region whom consistently invests in their profession, their community and especially other women. They demonstrate leadership within their industry, mentor women throughout their career and dedicate themselves to the community through volunteer activities and charitable endeavors. Nominations must be received by Friday, December 15, 2017. The nomination form, which includes award criteria, is available on UWTC’s website (www.uwotc.org/athena)). To enhance the candidate's potential, it is extremely important that nominators complete the form in its entirety.

  2. Holiday Greens Sale hosted by Framingham Garden Club

    The Framingham Garden Club will host its annual Holiday Greens Sale Friday, December 1, 9:00-3:00 and Saturday, December 2, 9:00-1:00 at the Cushing Park Maintenance Building, Framingham, 700 Winter Street. Unique wreaths, swags, table top decorations, mantle pieces, outdoor baskets and more custom designed by FGC club members. Proceeds benefit FGC, a 501(c)(3), to fund scholarships and to support civic beautification projects. Follow signs on Winter Street and use the Winter Street park entrance near Keefe Tech.

  3. Brown Bag Learning Series: Lunchtime Hypnosis Stress-Buster

    Join Marisa for a talk about how hypnosis can be used to help you take control of your life. This modality can give you the power to create changes in your habits and thought patterns, which will benefit you in all aspects of your life. Get educated, and then get ready to experience it for yourself. She will be incorporating a mini session of anxiety-reducing hypnotherapy during the presentation. Each participant will also receive a stress relief hypnosis recording to listen to at home. About Marisa Fanelli: Marisa is the owner of Healing Point Therapeutics, in Natick. She is an acupuncturist and hypnotherapist, with a specialization in anxiety and insomnia. She is licensed in acupuncture through the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, and certified in hypnotherapy through the Thomas Institute of Hypnosis and the National Guild of Hypnotists.
