Framingham Police Department Promotion Announcement

Framingham, MA – On Wednesday, May 9, 2018, the Framingham Police Department with the support of Mayor Yvonne M. Spicer will hold a promotional ceremony at 3:00 p.m. in Nevins Hall of the Memorial Building located at 150 Concord Street. The following individuals will be promoted in this swearing-in and badge pinning ceremony:

Lieutenant Lester Baker will be promoted to Deputy Chief

Lt. Baker was sworn in a Police Officer in the Town of Lexington in April of 1996, and transferred to the Framingham Police Department in January of 2003. He was promoted to the rank of sergeant in 2008, and lieutenant in 2014. Lt. Baker holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Western New England University, he is a graduate of the PERF – Senior Management Institute for Police Sessions 68. Lt. Baker and his wife, Mindy have been married for 16 years and are the proud parents of Nicholas, Ty and Toni.


Lieutenant Victor Pereira will be promoted to Deputy Chief

Lt. Pereira joined the Framingham police department in 1998. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2005 and to Lieutenant in 2008. He is a graduate of PERF Senior Management institute for police. Lt. Pereria has a Masters’ degree from Westfield State University and is a graduate of the Massachusetts School of Law.


Sergeant Gregory Reardon will be promoted to Lieutenant

Sgt. Reardon began his career with the Hopedale Police Department in 1998. His goal was to follow in his father’s footsteps, and work for the same police department his father worked for and loved. In January 2003, Sgt. Reardon achieved that goal when he transferred to the Framingham Police Department and began working with his father, Sgt. Dennis Reardon. He will be pinned by his mother, Karen Reardon.


Sergeant Sean Riley will be promoted to Lieutenant

Sgt. began his career in October, 1993 with the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department. He became a Police Officer in September 1996 with the Winthrop Police Department and transferred to the Framingham Police Department on November 15, 2001. Sgt. Riley will be pinned by his wife Sheri Riley and his three sons, Dillon, Owen and Luke Riley.


Officer David Curtis will be promoted to Sergeant

Officer is a resident of Framingham, has nineteen years of experience in law enforcement and proudly serves the City of Framingham with all 3 of his brothers; his brother Brian is also a Framingham police officer and Steven and Joseph Curtis are Framingham Firefighters. Officer Curtis is being pinned by his brother, Officer Brian Curtis.


Detective Michael Sheehan will be promoted to Sergeant

Det. Sheehan transferred to the Framingham Police Department in 2005 from the Hudson Police Department. He is a graduate of Champlain College in Burlington VT and holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Det. Sheehan has been an active member of the Framingham Police Department throughout his 13 years of service. He will be pinned by his wife Amanda and their three children Patrick, Matthew, and Lillian.


“The promotions of these officers will strongly contribute to the continued success of the Framingham Police Department,” said Acting Chief Steven Trask.
