Press Release: 2018 Team Framingham Boston Marathon Fundraising

FRAMINGHAM, MA – Team Framingham Steering Committee Chair, Jenifer Feaster has announced today that fundraising for the 2018 Team Framingham Boston Marathon is in full swing.

The five organizations that were selected by lottery to benefit from 2018 Team Framingham fundraising are as follows:

Framingham High School Foundation (4 runners)

Hoops and Homework (7 runners)

Resiliency for Life (8 runners)

United Way Call2Talk (2 runners)

Framingham Adult ESL (1 runner)

The runners picked by random selection back in December are expected to raise a minimum of $1,500, with a fundraising target of $3,000, in support of their selected charities.

“In their early fundraising efforts, 2018 Team Framingham runners have raised $68,068 bringing us to a five-year total of $337,016 benefiting a diverse group of important local charities,” Feaster stated and went on to add “I am confident we are well positioned to far exceed the $350,000 mark in fundraising by the conclusion of this year’s fundraising in May”.

Members of the Greater Framingham Running Club as well as residents and employees of the City who are sponsored to run in the Boston Marathon by other organizations are welcome to attend team meetings and team training sessions.
