FRAMINGHAM, MA – The people of Framingham and many others throughout the world have been in mourning since Friday morning when it was announced that Framingham’s own superhero, Devin Suau passed away surrounded by his loving family; His parents Christine and James and his older brothers, Colin, Owen and Brenden.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Suau family and to others in Devin’s Army who helped them through the past ten months. You have done yourselves and Framingham proud.
The Board of Health has made counselors available for confidential conversations with any member of our community who is having a difficult time processing this horrible tragedy. Devin’s fight against DIPG was a journey that we took together as a community, and if anyone needs assistance dealing with this tragedy, your town is here for you.
Asking for help is not a sign of weakness; it’s actually the same type of strength that Devin and his family have taught us. If you need someone to talk to, please contact the Health Department at 508-532-5470 and ask for Director Sam Wong.
Devin also taught us how to live each day to its fullest, to fight obstacles with dignity, and how to rally together and be our best selves to help someone else.
