The Framingham Cultural Council Announces the 2017 Contributor of the Year Award

The Framingham Cultural Council Announces the 2017 Contributor of the Year Award and the Special Recognition Award.

 

Framingham, MA - The Framingham Cultural Council Announces the Recipients of the 2017 Contributor of the Year Award and the Special Recognition Award.

Scott Greenberg, Framingham State University Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Continuing Education, received the 2017 Contributor of the Year Award for bringing Lifelong Learning Lectures and Adventures Classes to the Framingham Community. The programs are the result of a great partnership between two institutions: Framingham State University and the Framingham Public Library. Many FSU faculty members, as well as faculty from other colleges in the region, have led classes. More than 800 people have attended classes in the programs this year.

Maria Soma, Parks and Recreation Administrator, received the 2017 Special Recognition Award for her outstanding support of the Framingham Cultural Council. Maria efficiently processes local Cultural Council grants.

The members of the Framingham Cultural Council are Joel Winett, chair, Esther Powell, vice-chair, Kathryn Sucich, clerk, Katie O’Callaghan, treasurer, Philip Kaplan, Norma Kent, Judy Levine, and Lev Rozman. If you would like to be a member of the Cultural Council, submit an application to the Board of Selectmen at the Town Manager’s office.
